The Alberto Baillères Foundation is a facilitator that promotes partnerships; that weaves networks and strengthens collaboration; that encourages the search for agreement and determined action; that joins different efforts, directed toward the same end: participation aimed at the strengthening of education communities.
The Social Model incorporates infrastructure improvementes; thus, the school space is constructed as a favorable habitat for study, learning, dialogue, coexistence, and collaboration, but is also an environment where each member of the education community is empowered, centered in any improvement initiative, and the protagonist of their own transformation.
Accompaniment is related to community strengthening: it is a practice of mediation and of building spaces for horizontal dialogue that takes place directly on site and collectively between the different actors of the education community and the Foundation’s accompaniment teams.
The systematic process of reflection, analysis, and critical interpretation of the Foundation’s practices with education communities allows the assimilation of learning experiences, as well as the production of knowledge that improves the Social Model and promotes social innovation and the empowerment of education communities.
Through the transfer and exchange of knowledge, the Foundation intends for its Social Model to extend to and be replicable and adaptable to various national and international contexts.
